Hi I have had a sore knee cap for years it comes and goes. I'm not sure if it is in the bone or the joint but it gets pretty sore. It feels worse if I put pressure on my leg (left Knee) or if i bend it. It isn't a really bad pain or anything it is just really really sore.It also sometimes gets a bruise on it always in the same spot my knee cap sore. I will get to making a doctors appointment but my doctor is verry buisy and I'm not sure if it that big a deal or if it just a normal ache I notice at least 30 times a day. I am 23 and I have lower bone mineral density than normal not sure if that would have anything to do with it. Thank you for your time and consideration have a great day everyone :):):)

This could be related to the low bone mineral density but because of how long you have had the symptom some other possibilities such as arthritis could be playing in to this. The only way to find out for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.

i could definately touch your surgeon. could be Arthritis yet whilst the discomfort oustands the common Ibuprofen or discomfort reliever its time to suck it up and bypass in and get a experts opinion. turning out to be older is meant to be painfully comfortable. not Gracefully painful! lol
