What Evidence of the existance of God the Atheist will accept without any emotion or Bias ?
If one ounce of emotion is shown it is wrong, if one ounce of Bias is shown it is wrong.
You Keep asking for empiricle evidence, But if any was produced, I doubt seriously that it would be accepted because of bias.
Example " If I gave you evidence of evolution you would hold it most dear..If I gave you evidence of Creation you would be skeptical...can you look at all evidence and the possibility that what you have been told is a fabrication ? and what you believe you believe because you want it to be true,,Now I am not talking about me, Keep it about you you and only you.
many times people want to try to reverse it to throw off answering the question.
Can you be completely and totally without emotion without any bias ? after seeing what some of you have posted...I doubt it.

if you want proof ............
ask someone who is dying when man can no longer be of help...either physcally or mentally.
ask the parent who is losing a child to cancer or a mother who's son is sent to prison...or a father who just had a car wreck and was spared when all evidence says he should have died.......
why do people need evidence when it is right in front of them....
don't you have loved ones in trouble? sickness?
dying?
God is and always has been.
I can tell you are not a christian or have ever "took" the time to read Gods' word....the Holy Bible.

Belief always demands a certain commitment to be willing to believe.

Yes, there are logical arguments proving that God exists (argument by design and others), but ultimately a person has to be willing to consider belief in God as an option.

The “scientific” approach taught in most schools today is probably partly to blame.

We have been taught that science has an answer to everything and can explain everything logically or will soon be able to do so. So who needs God?

God is for the stupid, frightened and uneducated - that is the prevailing “scientific” approach. In other words science basically rejects belief in God as an option.

The reality is that science also maintains beliefs and axioms that have not and probably cannot be proven.

Just one example: We say God created the universe from nothing. Science says that the universe was formed by the Big Bang (which by the way does not necessarily contradict God as creator!).

Although the Big Bang Theory is widely accepted, it probably will never be proved; consequentially leaving a number of tough, unanswered questions.

And where did this pure energy come from? No answer. So scientists believe in pure energy and I believe in God.

I think that the main problem with most people's lack of belief in God is that their concept of God is still on the 2nd grade level, if not less than that.

I don’t believe in such a God either. But for unbelievers to say they don't believe in something they know NOTHING about is plain foolish.

I see a world that could not have come from nothing, without a Creator!!!

Even the rocks cry out!

Psa 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psa 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.

You do not need to know God; all you need to do is step outside on a clear and dark night and look up. The reasoning and scientific mind that God created you with will tell you of his existenence. The Holy Bible tells us elsewhere that "the fool says in his heart there is no God".
Perhaps Darwin was the devils tool for imagining evolution from apes; he did NOT imagine to explain the Heavens.

One of my favorite scriptures is Job 38:2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

God himself said not to speak unless you know what you are talking about. There never has been a shortage of those willing to try. In actuality, evolution is the oldest religion. It is the original lie, repackaged: Ye shall be as God.

If evolution were true, then God doesn't exist, there are no standards of right and wrong (the ten commandments are mythology) and we are free to do as we please, since right and wrong do not exist except in the eyes of the beholder. This has been done before: "In those days, Israel had no king, and every man did that which was right in his own eyes."
This is more commonly known as anarchy.

The most Learned and Scientific minds that exist acknowledge a Higher Power.

It has nothing to do with emotion or bias it has to do with evidence. To give you an example, for evolution there is a large body of evidence in multiple disciplines. But in searching for evidence for the Exodus the piece of evidence, aside from the bible verbiage and discussion, was that there was a military road from Egypt to Israel, similarly for the Tower of Babel, Bible quotes, discussion of the quotes and a description of a tower in Babylon that was destroyed in 600 BCE. These are not good evidence.

What would evidence be? Simply anything that when objectively review would point to a miraculous event occurring such as an eyewitness account, dated to around 30 CE, describing Jesus doing a miracle; a Jewish text, dated to a similar time, stating that the temple curtain had to be repaired after it ripped. A global layer of silt dating back to around 3000 BCE would be a good start for the flood.

In the case of evolution, I was a creationist until I started reviewing the amounts and types of evidence there is for evolution. On the side, I also started looking at creationist claims and very quickly found out that they were baseless. For example, I grew up "knowing" that there were human footprints along side of dinosaur footprints in Texas, now with a bit of research the truth is that that was a hoax.

In short and my own personal experience. God chooses who is to enter into His family . No one really expect another to believe in God unless God calls them in . There is so much evidence and active involvement of and from God , I find it hard that , how could any body not believe . It all really come down to freewill . People choose to believe what they want to depending on how it might affect them and their life style . If they choose to believe that the Presidents of the USA did in fact exist or Julius Cesar , Alexander the Great , Adolf Hitler , Abraham , Isac , Jacob , and all the rest of the history of the world . It makes no sense why they would not believe all the history documentation and fact that supports and substantiates the existence of God the Father and Jesus our Savor . Which are writings other than the Bible that testify to the truth and authenticity of the Bible itself . The Bible alone has more verifiable supporting history than most all other history in the world today . So if the non believer who simply chooses to believe his own made up lie and protect it at all cost is simply because they are lazy and ,have no interest in seeking the truth . I admit was difficult for me at first as well and I did come crawling slowly to the Cross , but I will never let go of it now . I know who was behind my deception in blinding me from the truth . He is out in the open now and can not hide from the Light in me any longer . For many as my self , is not that they don't believe , it is that they just don't want to believe . They also have a thousand reason not to with out any proof of not , one single one . It is sad , but in Gods time all things are possible and with Hope . It is God Himself who gives the true believer wisdom & understanding . Thank You my Father in Heaven for Loving me/us and , sending your Son Jesus to Save Me / us and ,Thank You so much Jesus for going to the Cross for me and taking all my sins away . I Love You , Amen ......

"Evidence" for Creation often just amounts to undermining evolution, and saying that doing so lends credence to their own ideas. Emotion and bias are things to avoid, but their presence do not necessarily make the thing believed false. It is when emotion and bias almost entirely dictate an idea that it becomes a problem.

It is impossible to be without emotion or bias completely. But it isn't impossible to make assertions that are entirely based upon them.

For me, there are two ways I could be convinced of the existence of God.

Experiencing direct, personal, two-way communication with God would convince me of his/her existence, as would witnessing a miracle (an act that defies physics and cannot be explained in any other way) firsthand. No secondhand account of the above would suffice.

Preach on, brother. Those athelutionists are so blinded by their emotional attachment to so-called evidence that they refuse to accept the overwhelming scientific consensus among Evangelical pastors.

You're thinking under the assumption that evidence exists for your particular god.

No scientist or atheist will accept "evidence" from anybody, including "their own" if it is emotion-based.

You mean "existence"? And "empirical"? Sorry, not to correct your spelling in lieu of criticizing your content - I'll get to that now.

I'm sure most atheists will agree with me that they disbelieve in God BECAUSE of the total lack of evidence. Ditto creationism. Meanwhile, they accept evolution (if they do; it's not required for membership) because there IS evidence for it. It has nothing to do with emotion or bias.

Emotion is what leads religious people to believe in God and the promise of heaven, in the face of all evidence to the contrary, because of the fear of death and the unknown. And bias is what leads religious people to rail against scientific evidence that appears to contradict a literal interpretation of the Bible.
