My best friend who is so kind and generous and takes no for an answer is being used by her new boyfriend of 4 months. She cooks homemeade meals for him, and washes his clothes, and lets him park his cars at her home and he has an apartment of his own. He is mean, controlling, and just using her. She claims that she is not even serious or wanting to marry him and has a kid and her first hubby was a serious scammer. I want to say something to my friend, but what do you suggest.

She should be thankful that she has a good friend like you....but you must realize that we all make our own mistakes in life and the BEST thing that you can do for you friend is to let her live her life and learn from her mistakes. Be supportive of any decision that she makes. She will respect you more for it later. She has to come to the realization that this guy is bad for her on her own. If she asks your opinion give it to her, if not...don't.

I suggest the truth!
Why not point out to her that there are many men who would respect her and respect the things she does.

She may be the type who is nice yes, but also attracted to men who use and disrespect.

She can only change that by getting counceling.

you get her to build up her self esteem and that will probably help her. I will give you a site for that which deals with self esteem and divorce as well as a few other things and this may help. Since he is controlling and mean, I will also give you a link to another site in case he doesn't take it well when she wants to get rid of him. Good luck to both you and her!!

You should find out who else knows what kind of man this is. then you go with him/her, or alone and explain a disease called psychopathiá, nowdays narsist mental disorder. explain her that he is sick and it will get worse. there thousands of examples how this kind of person has ruined someones lives. you could collect from the internet psycopath victims support group, and print some fates of the same kind of persons victims. then try to make her see that its time to get out, and you as a strong and understanding person gonna have to support and defend her like you never done before. her fate might be in your hands, if she is weak (just like psycopats usually choose).

i wish i didnt scare you, but times are long gone when psychopats meant norman bates and hitchkock, they are among us, ask any sosionom educated or a victim.

i suggest that you talk to her...lay it all out on the table, but try not to hurt her feelings. If this guy is using her...then he is no good. The only type of person any woman deserves is one who will treat her like a queen...she shouldn't lower her standards for anything, or anyone.

You have to set the scene and then talk to her when you know she has an open conscience. I would definitely let her know your concerns. That's what friends are for. I wish I had freinds like you.
