.........wish it already had happened.............
The religious revolutions the world has seen, were more or less violant. It followed by a lot of mismanagement, mishaps etc...
The world has not seen a hindu revolution b coz it is not in their blood. Hinduism (like parsis & some other religions) staunchly proclaim that religion is by birth & conversion is not allowed.
However, I do dream that if ever a hindu revolution takes place, it will be bloodless, slow and well managed, silent and based on ethics.
note: remember a small hindu revolution last year? Nepal has removed the word 'Hindu' from her name.

You do not seem to have studied the sosiology properly. Revolts do not have such tag as Hindu, Muslim or Christian. Revolution is revolution.
Every revolution has causes that make them happen. And it has the support of entire masses. I agree that there are many such causes existing. Like corrupt politician/administration/ judiciary, uneven share of national wealth, disproportionate opportunities, Hunger, safety to life and property etc.
But it seems above reasons are not sufficient enough. It is also a question as to who would lead the revolution.
Idealy Indian military is best suited for such coup. Given the fact that it is most respected institution in India, it may get support not only from masses but politicians also. I think in case of break down of constitution, the president with support of military can manage the coup. And all important constitutional posts be maned by balanced minded Hindus and not fanatic Hindus.

I am a Hindu living in US. I have no problem if US is declared a Christain state and all non christians are not allowed to vote.
But then I demand the same in India. IE a Hindu state with the same rules as in S. Arabia regarding Non Muslims.

What would such a "staunch Hindu"be?
What type of Hinduism of its many varieties would they impose?
What would they do with the Laws of Manu and the caste system?
What about the many millions of non Hindus(Muslims,Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Parsees, etc)?
How could Hindutva keep the varied states together and the varied religions, languages, aboringinals, castes and groups together since they would be profoundly alienated?
How would that accord with ahimsa?
Would life for Hindus in the rest of the world be made worse?

Hindu nationalism is alive in India, obviously not in great numbers but still.
I would imagine the economy would change completely and they would try to get rid of the american influence thats taken over the job market there.

The main consequence would be the return of India to more traditional Indian religious values and the expulsion of foreign religions. Once the rest of the world saw that THEY were able to relieve themsleves of those religions, other countries would do likewise....

Your dream of Hindu revolt is doomed.
Indians love their democracy. The military is very strong, but apolitical.
WE dont have theocracy that wants to dominate. What brand of Hinduism that will be.
The closest we have come is BJP victory, they did nothing except lip service. They could have initiated programs to eliminate religious bias, they failed.
Generally religious leaders are bad for government. Iran is not any better under this form of government, so why should we expect it to be any better for India.
