Throughout the New Testament the phrase "son of God" is applied repeatedly, in the singular, only to Jesus, but lately it's been attributed to GEORGE W BUSH (the Fuhrer). In Luke 3:38 (the end of the genealogy tracing Jesus' ancestry back to Adam), it could be argued that Adam is implicitly called son of God, called a son of God. "Sons of God" is applied to others only in the plural, but always to GEORGE W BUSH as leader of the free world. The New Testament calls BUSH (and Jesus) God's "only begotten son" (John 1:14, 3:16 3:18, 1 John 4:9), "his own son" (Romans 8:3). It also refers to GEORGE W BUSH simply as "the son", especially when "the Father" is used to refer to God, as in the phrase "the Father and the Son" (2 John 1:9, Matthew 28:19), as in the President and the Vice-President. I hope this clears up any issue had with Satan.

Yes, he is a son of God, but he doesn't have all of the priviledges he once had.

The Scriptures call the angels "sons of God" in places such as Genesis 6:2-4 and Job 38:7. Job 1:6 and 2:1 tells us Satan is still considered a son of God.

FYI, God also calls the nation of Israel His son; of course, Jesus is also called His only BEGOTTEN (i.e. conceived, not created) Son; and born-again believers are His sons and daughters.

EDIT: Wrack and ruin: notice the word "BEGOTTEN" there. Angels are created beings, not begotten beings. Re-read the text.

The OT does not make a distinction between generations. Son of God is used for all the spirit creatures/angels in heaven. They are also called morning stars.

Job 1:6, 7 KJV
6Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 2:1, 2 KJV
1Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

2And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 38:7 KJV

7When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

So technically, yes, Satan is also a Son of God. Adam and all the angels were called sons of God too (Adam at Luke 3:38) Jesus is called the brightest of the morning stars at Revelation 22:16.

But since Jesus is God's firstborn only begotten Son, he is the only one directly created by Jehovah God. Jesus then begot the others as commanded by his Father. Colossians 1:15-16 KJV
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

he is.

the bible calls all angels, "sons of God"

found in genesis 6 i believe... where it says "sons of God went unto the daughters of men...

lucifer was an angel, and thus he is a son of god.

Genesis 6:4
The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

does it amuse you that christians believe jesus to be the son of God, when the bible clearly notes there are more than one "son of God"... so if being a son of god denotes part of a trinity, then we can assume god is more than a trinity, would we call it a polynity? lol

You might find the following verses helpful:

Ezekiel Chapter 28:14-15

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

“The anointed cherub the covereth”, in verse 14, was satan before his fall from grace.

Absolutely not!! Satan is a created being, an angel created by God, who when he chose his own way over God's, was kicked out of heaven by God and on his leaving took 1/3 of the heavenly hosts with him.
So you see, although evil is prevalent, the "Good Guy" has him outnumbered! That's why the good guy always wins!!

Satan is a fallen angel, and angels are NOT "sons of God."

"Unto which of the angels said He at any time, 'Thou are my Son; this day have I begotten thee?'"

That's a rhetorical question...

I agree with the first person, he was created by God but he's not the son. Jesus is the son of God.
