well i think its wrong..i think it robs the kids from a normal childhood!! The older siblings end up raising the younger ones... and that is not right!! Kids should be allowed to be kids... not free babysitters!!!
But at the same time this is a free country... so they can do whatever they want! :P

Well I think there are people who just want a Big family..There is no law saying that you can only have so many kids...I think they should feel free to have as many as they want, that is Their Right...
Now, On the other hand...I dislike when people have 10+ kids, and are on welfare and just sit around Burn that money on Beer and Smokes! They have the kids just so they can get more money and they don't have anything better to do...Trust me I know a Few of these families that do it! and I think its Wrong. I*m not dissing Welfare, cause I know That these family's that do have a lot of kids need an extra boost every now and again and they also work hard to Do as much as they can for their kids...that's what the System is there for. It is the Capable people who can work that wont that piss me off.
So as to your answer..If they have the 17 or so kids are good Parents and Try their best in every way to support their kids and give them a Good life, then No it wouldn't bother me.

They may not be overpopulating the world but I think that it is hard to have the attention each child needs from the mother and father. I think it will harm them more once they get older into the teenager years. I feel sorry for the kids who will probably not be able to do things that normally a kid with less siblings would be able to do. I think it's selfish that they had so many kids in the first place.

Yes it can be very rude.
I personally believe that if these parents can financially raise these children without government assistance then it is there right to have as many children as they want.
Now to mass produce children on government assistance is another story. If you cant afford to have them, then it is time to stop. I know what my limits are and they should too. Every child is intitled to the best possible life their parents can give them.
I know I would have liked to have had another child but hubby was dead set against it. After having two boys, I had to beg (and bribe w/vasectomy) to get him to consider trying one more time for a little girl. Third time is a charm and I got my precious daughter.
But now I realize with having a 16 year old, they are not cheap. The cost to raise a child can get kind of high!

Not if you can care for them.
I doubt 17 will be the number that overpopulates the earth.
If they can feed and clothe and raise that many kids, more power to them. I would love to have that many kids but I could never afford it. My grandma had 14 kids, and they are all now happy healthy adults.
Some people just think they have the right to judge others, raise other peoples kids, and tell other people how to live. These people generally are unhappy with their own life and just want to make sure everybody else is too.

Yes, I think it is wrong. There is no way you can give enough individual attention to 17 children. What happens is the older ones start helping raise the younger ones.
However, they have a right to do whatever they want. I just feel sorry for the kids.

Yes that was very rude i think if you can provide for all their needs. Than go for it, me on the other hand probable could not deal with that much stress but that's amazing that they can and we should all support them in being able to do that not put them down. God Bless !!

It's usually the wrong families having too many or too few kids. If they have the resources to care for them all, then I see nothing wrong.

If you were in China yes....but not here no. I've seen families have 1-4 kids and lose them ALL in horrible tragedies. I'd say the more the merrier as long as they can provide for all of them.
