The earth being considered Round is as old as Aristotle (hardly a scoffer of religion).
A professed believer in God and member of the Catholic Church was the forefather of heliocentrism and the "Father of Modern Science" - That's Galileo for the head scratchers
Albert Einstein and his calculations directly contributed to lunar exploration however not a Christian by personal declaration didn't deny a religious persuit as be a viable improvement to any person.
