im goin to be punished for a f on my report card and my mom thinks thats going to get me left back because my school told her that i would but told me differntly what should i do to prove to her that im ot getting left back and get of the pounishment?

The purpose of your going to school is to learn stuff. Your job is to do your best to learn it. An "F" indicates no effort on your part at all. As a Father, I would never accept a failing grade from my sons. Even if the school would gladly promote them with an "F", it was still unacceptable to me.
Your job is not simply to get to the next grade. Your job is to learn an adequate amount of the material you are being taught. While I was not the type to insist on all "A" from my boys, I would not accept failure. "Failure is not an option!" was my favorite slogan.
Do not put forth effort just to avoid punishment. Put forth the effort because it is the right thing to do. Learn to be a good person. A good person always does what is right, even when nobody is looking.
Learning to adopt this in your life will serve you well as an adult. Every day brings you that much closer to adulthood. High time to learn how to be a successful adult.

First off,it would depend on what grade you were in.Also,it would depend on wether or not you have any other poor grades.Ask your mom to set up a meeting with the school counselor to go over what the requirements are for you to continue.Then,make sure you can be at that meeting as well.This way,your mom can get informed of any standardized tests,what happens when you fall below a certain level on them,and what class requirements are so you don't get behind.And as for that f?Bring it up.Otherwise,you will be punished until you do.Check with your school,most now have online postings of grades,and see if your mom can't get into that so she doesn't get suprised by an f the next time.

First you better make for sure that you are not getting held back. If they told mom you was, then you just might be. If you are right, then make the school call mom in front of you. maybe you need to see if there is any extra credit you can do to bring up your grade. The teachers always gives out extra credit to kids that deserve a chance to bring their grades up. Just try it. Right now you most likely feel that you hate school. Some day you will be sorry that you did not put more effort into it. Think of your future and what you want to make of your life for a nice home and family to support. Well it depends on your other grades. Also, have you been struggling in this class all year? It may hold you back. If you don't know, you need to talk to your teacher or guidance counselor. You're parents are punishing you simply because they want to make you buckle down and focus more on the class and bringing your grades up. When that happens, they'll be ecstatic. Who told you were not going to be left back? A Teacher or Principal? Could they maybe write you a note stating that you aren't going to be left back? As for getting off of trouble, I can't help you there you brought that upon yourself. You may have not studied or done your homework. Your mom does have a right to punish you there.

Get off Yahoo Answers and get to work on your studies. Doing well in school is your most important job right now. You are probably a smart kid and could get better grades if you worked harder. Good grades = no punishment. Good grades = freedom.

There is no way for you to prove that you were told differently. I suggest that you get down to studying and bring that F up. I am not sure there is any way for you to get out of being pumished. Good Luck.

if you and your mom are being told different things then arrange an appointment for you both to go to together to find out the truth .after all im sure that you want to know for yourself aswell rather than worrying about it
ask about extra classes to catch up and try talking and asking questions when you dont understand something
