Evolution theory is a religious belief that fundamentally requires adherence to the religion of atheism and/or the religion of pantheism. “Evolution” is a hypothetical, unobserved process (without any known scientific mechanism) by which all things in the universe are said to have created themselves from nothing without needing the existence of a Creator. Evolution is a hypothetical process of onwards-and-upwards self-improvement where all things somehow create themselves and somehow increase their complexity of their own accord.

By Steve above..."Evolution theory is a religious belief that fundamentally requires adherence to the religion of atheism and/or the religion of pantheism. “Evolution” is a hypothetical, unobserved process (without any known scientific mechanism) by which all things in the universe are said to have created themselves from nothing without needing the existence of a Creator. Thanks for the laugh, Steve. I appreciate the fact that you don't even know what the theory of evolution is, let alone that it does actually occur (e-mail me if you want the research). And it is specifically amoral, but not immoral, as all good science is. You can thank the amoral Issac Newton for helping you stay on the Earth, or the amoral Robert Koch on explaining why you get sick (Koch's Postulates on the germ theory).

Evolution is a theory that is based on the observation reproduction in living organism is never carbon copy from generation to generation--mutations do occur--this is an observation that is verifiable. Evolution teaches that nature selects traits in living organisms that yield the best survival probability. Evolution teaches that over long periods of times-natural selection and mutation will eventually yield an entirely different creature adapted for it's environment. If ecological niches are not challenging--warm sea--plenty of food--not a lot of competition--the rate of evolution is slow--if that environment changes--climate gets colder--drier etc--those creatures with a greater tolerance for cold, dry etc will have a greater chance at survival--when the ecological niche is strained the rate of evolution is faster.

Evolution is not a 'belief", it is a fact. Everything evolves on a daily basis: germs mutate, plants mutate, people change and mutate because of environmental factors, diet, breeding, among others. The earth itself evolves, look at the weather patterns. Everything mutates and evolves, from biology to intellect and scientific understanding. To actually see the results of evolution, you have to stand back a few millenniums and look at the whole picture.

Well, before any believers (man) came about it had been already occurring. So, no. Evolution is not a belief.

Can't say the same for Genesis...

Evolution is a fact.

The Theory of Evolution is a scientific attempt to explain the fact of evolution.

No. Evolution is a fact. It has been observed through science.

The word "belief" implies an element of uncertainty or faith. It is a belief as much as one believes in gravity or plate tectonics..

not a "belief" in the dogmatic religious sense.

It's interpretation of substantial supporting evidence... just as pushing buttons on a phone leads to the "belief" one can talk to people one cannot see.

evolution is a theory, based on tested hypotheses and tangible data. it has changed and will change with new data.
