is it ok if I ask this girl
"what would you like to have for this Christmas?"
we've been talking for 2 months now and i got to know her through her grandma [the girl that i am gonna question is her grand daughter] cause my family knows her very well. also, i am invited to her entire family's Christmas gatering/party.
so...is it ok? Also, I don't want to pressure her by anymeans.

The best way to not pressure her is to get her something and surprise her. She will appreciate that more than if you buy her something she told you to buy. I never like giving Christmas wish lists. I only exchange gifts with my close family members and my husband, so I feel like they should know me well enough to know what i'll like! Plus i'm not picky. I'm easily pleased. :)

You can ask her... maybe say "Id like to buy you a gift for Christmas, do you have anything special in mind that you're hoping for" something along those lines.
Or if you know any of her interests hobbies or if she collects anything you can go that route and just not ask her.
I personally do not find it rude to ask what shes hoping for.
Also when you go to her families house make sure you bring something. Anything. You should never go to someones home empty handed!!!! Maybe thats just ME but thats how I feel and that's how I look at my company. {most do not bring a thing even when spending the weekend. I dislike that!}

There is absolutely no harm in asking her what she would like as a gift for Christmas especially since you have been invited to her family gathering! You could also ask her grandma to find out what she would like and give her a surprise! Or you could tell her your friend wants to buy his girlfriend a Christmas gift and needs help. Obviously she will tell you things that she herself would like, so there you have a list of stuff she likes!!!
