im 16 and ever since the 8th grade i noticed i have really huge thighs. not fatty, fit. im not a big girl. i have a six pack. and I am a die heart athelete. but compared to all my friends its so weird. they make me feel so huge. helpp!!! I know that they are fit but i just wish they werent. is there any way i can make them smaller/skinner. i hate them!!!!!!!!

its not that im fat.
Im probably the most in shape girl i know.
its just me not my family. my parents have stick legs. They havent ran a mile in their life.

I did the video of pilates by Mary Windsor bun & thigh; I lost 10 cms. of my thigh in 2 months, I used to do it about 4 times a week, you definitely feel the hard work you´re making it is like a 20 minutes video and really you can see the work is coused in major part in your thigh, as you are an athlete you´ll find to easy to make.

I saw first the difference in my trousers they started to feel a bit lose and before they looked very stretched due to my thighs, try it, or at least do pilates you´ll seee the difference.

I have to say that if you are a girl, perhaps you should see your doctor if you have a 6 pack. It is rare for a healthy woman with a normal hormonal system to develop a 6 pack, best be checked to be sure.

You don't say what sports you do, but your body is tailored to those activities. If you're a dancer or marathon runner or a mid-fielder in soccer, then your legs should be slim. If you do basketball, volleyball, sprinting, speed swimming, or cycling then your thighs have to be big to give you the explosive power.

I did a number of sports, well, all my life, and I had to tailor every pair of pants I wore to fit my waist AND my legs.

Either give up what you do, change your activities or just live with it. Nothing else you can do sorry.

Sometimes genetics just plain suck. Keep eating well and stay active because you do not want the muscle to turn into fat :)

Why hate your legs? My legs are big too, what you should just do is make them more muscular.

Stop worrying about it and enjoy life.
Besides being stick then is not good for you.

mostly genetics..... if you really want them to shrink its really hard. if they are muscle than try not to do any strength training on them although i wouldnt suggest it.
