I am in the process of printing a calendar and need to buy glossy photo paper. I have the choice of 2 types of paper, both advertised as "Glossy" and from the same manufacturer. One of them has a GSM of 160 and the other of 210. The 210 is priced higher, so I assumed that it was of higher quality. However, several of my friends disagreed so I thought I'd seek another opinion. Many thanks,
Chris

What Edwin said.

IF your doing a wall calendar, subject to gravity, hole punches, etc...., that needs to hang for a year, go with the heavier paper.

IF its something that doesnt need the strength to hang for a year, go with the lighter (inexpensive). They offer the same gloss effect, just different strengths of the paper the gloss is applied to.

The 210 GSM is a heavier paper. It has a more substantial feel to it. It should be a better choice for a calendar.
