Boy, I sure wish they had one of those around here.

I live in Billy Graham's home town. That would be terrific!

At first I thought this was a really nice idea. As an Atheist I would love to have a place to send my non-existent children to teach them values and explain the differences between religion and atheism. However, I also feel that a parent's religion should not be forced on the child, so why should I force my Atheism on a child? My parents sent me to Sunday school for 9 years but when I decided I didn't believe they didn't really have a problem with it. They knew I had been given the tools to make my own decisions

I think this looks like a positive thing. They stress that it is an interactive experience for the children and parents... that need could be filled in other ways but this is fine. However, rather than presenting atheistic ideas in a "sunday school," I think that the public school system should contain all the relevant information for a child to realize that religion is a hoax.

Not personally.

Though somewhere for atheists and humanists to "group-up" and support each other does seem like a good idea, as long as it doesn't turn into a clone of a religious sunday-school.

Need?

I don't see why.

What with families hardly spending any time together, I don't see the point in making your kids go to yet another school day.

Why don't parents ever just want to hang out with their kids? And talk to them (not AT them)?

That's cool.

But the Carl Sagan Academy thing is so not real. That is an inner city school and isn't atheist in any way.. Not trying to be racist, but there is literally not one caucasian in that entire school.

I'll pass. Sunday is my day to sleep in and then spend the afternoon plotting world domination.

Tuesdays are free, though...

I don't plan on having children. Besides, I rather sleep in on Sundays or plan for the weekday.

This is for Humanists. They're a good-hearted bunch, but they like humans.

Can't think why.
