I am cureently taking some anti-biotics for a gum infection and i have been getting really bad pain in my stomach and now it has spread to my legs. At first it felt like i was brusied all over my stomach, when my clothes rubs against my stomach it was uncomfortable and it was unfortable to touch, now the pain has spread to my legs and the pain is worse in my leg than my stomach, when i walk and my trousers rub my leg it hurts and when im stnading or sitting i get sharp pains shoorting through my leg it is only in one leg my other leg is fine. Should anti biotics do this? I have rang my doctor but he never got back to me i have tried for a doctors appointment but couldnt get a appointment for today, im worried. is this anything to worry about?

I agree it might have been handy to know the name of the antibiotic, there are literally 100s all with different potential side effects.

Wild stab metronidazole/Flagyl ?
It can produce both gastro-intestinal problems and neuropathy which I suppose might explain your side effects. Ask your GP or pharmacist!
