I have a 1991 Ford Escort LX Hatchback. I recently hit a deer with it causing front end damage. It will need a new radiator, hood, and anything right by the radiator I'm sure since it got pushed back a little bit. I have someone interested in buying it...any idea what I should charge? KBB says that this car in "Fair" condition is $885.
It does have pretty new tires (just put on in May) and also has a brand new exhaust. It runs great and the body is quite good on it still.

If KBB says the car in "Fair" condition is worth ~$800, it probably won't be worth it to sell.
But you said you already have an interested buyer, so see what they are willing to pay for it and call it good if you break $150.
Another solution that would probably pay much better, if you have the room for it, take the car apart and sell the undamaged parts individually. I am sure some people out there need an Escort Hatchback rear window, or some such thing. If you do decide to part it out, browse ebay.com and see what similar parts are selling for, and undercut them.

Probably not more than $800, considering that you have damage to it (I don't know if I'd consider that "Fair" condition) & the fact that the car is 16 years old & needs additional parts. The tires & exhaust might be worth more than the car. What is the person interested in it offering you?

It is not in "Fair" condition. It is in poor condition. Give the interested party an option to buy it for $700 and see if he makes a counter offer. If he doesn't buy it, Put an ad on Craigslist and ask $700 obo.

I'd ask $850 and let the person interested in the car talk you down to about $700 so they will feel like they got a great deal.

A vehicle that old it becomes what someone is willing to pay ,you really cant put a true value on it, I know for a fact to a dealer its worth zero.
Ask for the $885. or $1000. and negotiate the best deal you can.
