I just nought it yesterday and went for a drive to test it out. Well I passed by about 6 cops at least 10 feet away and it never went off. What do the cops have ti do for it to go off? And I wouldnt say it doesnt work completely. I went by a automatic door at a store and it went krazy on K alert. Whats wrong with it? I tried in highway and city mode both.

It's working. While you're waiting for it to go off, you're going to miss the squad car that's pacing you.

Not all police cars have radar and even if they do it has to be turned on to set off your device. Don't use that thing as a substitution for safe driving. Police can pull you over for speeding without radar and still cite you.

If there are no radar waves there can be no radar wave detection.

The police have to be operating their radar units for the detector to alert. It is a radar detector, not a police car detector.
