At the moment it would seem that God is really moving in the Asian countries which stands to reason.
Their culture itself calls for much greater discipline then ours, there is no where they can turn to for hope other than religion, (America has hurt itself by making government hand outs a right and not a privilege), and the persecution they face for their beliefs makes a person really consider what they do believe in, and is it something worth dying for.
America has basked under the blessings and love of God for so long that they take it for granted. Sad, really sad.

Any Christian anywhere is more devout than any hypocrite who calls himself a Christian, but really isn't. I realize that you are calling every Christian in the US a hypocrite, but I don't think you realize just how absurd that really is considering how many of us there are. Not everyone of us could be a hypocrite just like not everyone of the Christians in South Korea could be more devout.

yes they are, but I have to qualify the statement.
In countries where being known as a Christian is not necessarily advantagious to advancing in society, one usually finds that those who do call themselves Christian, really are Christian in their hearts, and are more devout. This is even true of Europe, where it has become, at the very best, uncool to be Christian.
In the US, a Christian label may be convenient to inspire trust, if you are, for example, in the real estate business, selling homes to families.

Golly gee, you want to compare all the Christians in South Korea with the hypocrites in the U.S. whose devotion to their faith does not match what you think it should be. That means there are a bunch of Christians who devotion does match or exceed what you think it should be that are left over and we have to measure the Koreans against those.
Instead of throwing out stupid generalizations, perhaps it should be left to God. Hummm?

As a westerner living in Asia for 30 years, I would answer YES to your question.
But then again, when your half of the country is technically still at war with the other half of the country and you have to endure occasional disaster drills and poison gas alerts...you tend to take things, such as G-d, more seriously.

The church has never been able to save anyone. Jesus indicated many churchgoers would end up in hell:
Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven… And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21,23)
