I mean games after VII plus VI gets tiring after splitting up characters all the freakin' time and how can anyone say that they force you to use people I mean just because you have to use Cloud a majority of the time, doesn't mean you gotta use the same first two people you get, you get to pause from him in one point in time in the game. If it wasn't the best, then why did they make a movie dating two years after the game(Advent Children), another movie included in the special edition package(Last Order), or a game after that focusing on the hidden characters a year later(Dirge of Cerberus), or the prequel coming out(Crisis Core), and the Japanese one on mobile phones(Before Crisis). If it wasn't that stuff, then it wouldn't be as big as it is. You don't see VI makin' big things, it is a great game I've played through it, but VII is THE game!Overrated my butt.

Honestly, I prefer FFVI over FFVII. FFVII is good, but VI is so much better.

very final fable 7 is my popular interest of all time. i think of that the undesirable factor is they are going to purpose to make too many alterations to it, like they're going to probable do away with the open international and make it extra like 10 and above, and that i'm not a super promoter of voice appearing. they're going to probable replace the classic scuffling with gadget to the hot one, which i think of is positive, yet might desire to not honestly extra healthful into older FF's. As for 6, its already been remade on the GBA, whith extra summons. yet regrettably, i think of that FF 8 had made its one and purely super visual attraction. yet even however the fairly some alterations that are probable going to ensue at the instant are not thoroughly agreeable in my e book, i nonetheless cant await the remake of FF7 to return out, because of the fact now all copies of FF 7 for the ps1 are like $2 hundred

I think Final Fantasy VII is the most overrated game ever made. The Final Fantasy games and other JRPG's are just so linear. I personally prefer RPG's that actually let you "play a role" rather than force you to be a specific character and follow a specific path. I'll take a Bioware RPG any day over Final Fantasy.

Nope. Story is presented poorly. Game is ridiculously easy, and made even moreso by the brokenly powerful materia system. Too many perminently missable items.

As to your derivative comment. FF7 is largely derivative from FF6 (The materia system is nearly a copy/paste job of 6's Esper system. Same goes for 7"s Limit Breaks and the similar attacks 6 had). And there are a lot of JRPGs that have little to nothing to do with FF7. Look at Shadow Hearts: Covenant for one good example. It's based way more on the old non-changable Job system you see in a lot of older RPGs.

FFVII is the best among the FF series ever made. FFX too if I may add. Even the latest FFXII could not beat FFVII.
