Alright So I am eighteen years old and a freshman in college who is just starting to feel those freshman fifteen. I now weigh between 125 and 130. I've decided to start the special k diet today. Today (it's about eleven A.M.) I've eaten a bowl of Special K yogurt and berries with milk, and a small tangerine.

Any tips about what kind of cereal to eat? The water and bars are kind of spendy? Times to eat? Dinner? Any other tips? Thank you so much!

I lost about 5 lbs. in one month on the Special K diet. I really like the vanilla almond kind and I enjoy how easy it is to grab a bowl of cereal for a meal. The bars are just okay.

My problem was that I was often hungry. Drink lots of water and it helps.

Special K is garbage, the list of ingredients tells you that. you have to look past the cals, protein/carbs/fats in food items. the longer the list of ingredients the more processed a food item is and the less healthy and nutritious it is. the Special K diet is nothing miraculous, they have you substitute higher calorie foods for a bowl of low calorie Special K. you could use any food item that has the same calories per serving to achieve the exact same effect. the absolute worst place to get nutritional advice is from the manufacturer of a food item, there ONLY goals is to increase sales and keep stock prices moving upwards.

86 the Special K and replace it with a bowl of whole oatmeal. the less processed foods in your diet the healthier you will be.
