If islam lets you people marriage two wifes it is because men has more sex need. Look at american county for example. People rape milions of wemen or buy prostitiutions or becoming gays or change their wifes all this is because they have needs. Islam is a scientist religen knows about this based on men need1500 years ago. Even doctors of west agrees this.

So instead of denying facts . think about truth of this and open your hearts to the light.

The reason Polygamy is allowed is because during the time of Muhammad(PBUH*) there were a lot of men going to war and dying leaving behind widows and orphans. Women didn't work outside the home back then and had no way to support themselves and their children so to keep them from starving on the streets or doing something haraam like become a prostitute Muhammad(PBUH*) encouraged his followers to marry widows so the women and their children would be provided for. The reason it is still allowed is because ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) never outlawed polygamy but he limited the number of wives a man could have and established conditions and reasons where polygamy could be allowed. The man can't marry another woman without a valid reason like his wife is infertile and he has to get her permission otherwise he can't marry another woman. There are more women then men in the world and many women in the East don't work outside the home so they would starve which is why polygamy is allowed in the East. If each man married only one woman then there would be over 1 million women who were single. What is better for women to marry and be the second, third, or fourth wife and be provided for all their life or to become public property and depend on the taxpayers to support you and your children? ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) has women's best intrests at heart which is why he never outlawed polygamy. It has nothing to do with man's sexual needs.

Altruism and control of animalistic urges and drives are far more virtuous than making women, who might not like being a second wife (etc.) miserable and suffer.

If all women in the party CHOOSE this life and are TRULY happy in it then the point is moot.
