I was always taught to indent the first line of a works cited citation, but am not sure if this is true for MLA citations. Should the first line be indented or should all lines start at the same spot?

The first line of each entry is not indented, the rest have a hanging indent.

Use a hanging indent format where all lines except the first are indented three spaces. Go to The Owl at Purdue for a great example of a Citations Page.

The first line is flush with the left margin, all other lines are indented 5-7 spaces (be consistent).
