Think of it like a hole in a donut.

If we believe these premises:

a) God is everywhere
b) We are not God
c) These molecules which make our earth (air, water, plants, animals etc) are not God.

Then God must be everywhere we (and everything else) are NOT. But before we were, God must have been there. Therefore, God must have retracted part of himself in order to make room for us - and everything else.

Makes you think, huh? Even if you don't believe the premises, try to answer as if you did! ;-)

Great question and theory! :) I actually think that our creator expanded outwards into what was previously a void and continues to create and expand and in turn the Universe expands. I think that black holes are just voids (small pockets) that haven't been filled with creation. This is the theory that seems to stick in my mind. That the creator wanted to experience itself and see itself, so it created and these creations moved outwards, filling the void. We are still a part of the creator because everything is made up of the same stuff...energy, matter, particles etc. In my theory, the Creator is in the center of everything and keeps expanding outwards but at the same time, the Creator is also inside of us and outside of us. Kind of makes your head spin. ;)

Words like "where" and "space" don't apply to God, since He's incorporeal. He isn't made out of atoms and molecules.

It is an interesting thought, though. Still my belief is that God is in the quarks, atoms and molecules that make up matter, and that any time God retracts Himself from space/time, that is what we call evil.

An interesting statement I once read about God's omnipresence is this: God is a circle whose center is everywhere.

The problem that you are grappling with is because of a faulty understanding of space, matter, and spirit. God eternally existed prior to His creation of space and matter. He existed before there was a physical "place" in which to be.

Hope that helps.

If I believed in such nonsense then I would say that we ARE God, we are one with God. There is no difference between us and God, that God is everything including US. We are creators as well as God. That would be the only possible way.

How was that?

i guess i would say that God is the 'something' (energy or whatever) that holds everything together. why do atoms exist? what holds them together? what holds the ingredients for an atom together? how 'bout the parts of those ingredients?

i'm not saying that is all that God is, just that it works as a partial explaination. he spiritually occupies the entire physical world (if that makes any sense at all)

Kinda like the federal government selling land for homesteads. Land not owned by anyone goes to the government.

Great question. What is space? When you look out from yours eyes and see something your seeing the space between things ...you would,nt be able to see anything if it were,nt for space. What is this space ?What is this thing that we all exist in.What is this space the distance between things .Emptyness there is nothing there but behind it all there is something nothing to prove you have to see it to be it .

Not really. Your premises are inaccurate.

god is everywhere and everything.

if we believe that then your ideas don't make sense.

makes you think huh?

Usually I don't think about things that deeply until later in the day, or very early in the morning before sun-up. Thanks for accelerating my time machine.

Some think god is energy. Energy is every where and you can't see it
