Ether way yes its much easier to be a female and say your a virgin, then a male. Males in our society because of the way social pride is based on sexual conquest means that chances are, if you a virgin, someones going to call you the g-word and to us guys, the g-word is a horrible stigmata to have thrown on you. (Truth be told, it seperates us from the ability to make both guy and GIRL friends, girls treat the g-word, like we treat the s-word, but lets not talk about the ladies with this question) This doesn't happen to females, they just get out of ever being called a hoe, slut, or a tramp. So its a big example of the double-standards of our society....

Yes, a woman who is a virgin is seen as pure and saving herself , where the guy who is still a virgin is seen as a social misfit and unsuccessful (at scoring) with women.
