Atheism is something one is left with, and is thus immediate, not something one can plan. Since Christianity is a fable, one can adopt such a role any time one wants.

I think they're both silly. If today you say "On Feb 6th I'm going to become a Christian" wouldn't that make you a Christian right now? The only thing is you aren't praying or attending church yet. You've already made the conscious decision to become one... So only the second part of #1, in my opinion, could be uttered by a reasonable person. but not the whole thing, it sounds silly.

I agree # 2 is absurd. You cannot just turn on and off what you believe. I can't anyway.
#1 implies that a Christian is going to try to go to church more.

I think both are silly if you believe in God now you do not wait to become and christian and like wise if you do not believe in God you can not say you will become an athiest later.

Because there is a specific process of conversion to Christianity, which can happen electively.
One can drift into disbelief shedding articles of faith one by one like shedding articles of clothing till the naked truth is revealed. There is (saying thank God is inappropriate) no conversion to atheism.

Because one statement is about religion and the other is about aheist. These two do not go together. I think your right with what you said though about the statements. Thank you and God Bless you.

The Spirit of God pursing you is a great gift.............and you don't know the date.; but you need to respond at that time. A person cannot be saved unless the Spirit of God is present.
He pursues us, we don't pursue Him..............# 1 is not a true statement and shows a misunderstanding of how entering the Kingdom of God operates.
However, very thought provoking...................

Oh, interesting.
Excellent question. I don't have a good answer, but it's definitely something to think about.

I think both are procrastinating. If you are going to do something - than do it.
