I have heard that if I have the right dietary suppliments, a fruit and vegitable diet can help me lose weight. I hope to lose fat and tone muscle. I'm not overweight or anything, I just need to lose weight fast. I would run, but I have athsma. I walk when I can and do sit ups/ crunches.

Yeah, I never thought about the protien thing. I already eat a lot of chicken, but I don't like many meats (especially red meats) unless it's junk food like a corn dog or something. I have been drinking a lot of water and staying away from too many sweets, except a soda once a week for caffine, or when my sugar drops and I'm too busy or can't get a decent meal. (No, I'm not diabetic, everyone needs some sugar intake). I try to walk a lot and I play tennis (just playing around) with my friend when we can find the time. I'm just starting out with the excersising more, so I get tired out and It's hard to find energy. I know too much caffine is bad, so I will try to have a ballanced diet...but what do I do about the meat thing?

no....a balanced diet of protein, carbs and fats is the only way to be lean and healthy. this is the way that human biology functions and there is no way around it. if you are not getting enough protein and fats in your diet you will lose muscle mass and your metabolic rate will slow, impeding weight loss and making weight gain easier.

it will be hard to tone muscle with no protien. you need a balance of good carbs and protien. Try and eat around 6 -300 calorie meals a day and drink lots of water. Drink at least 8 ounces of water before you eat anything. as for working out. Resistance training is great for trying to lose weight. Walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes to an hour at the highest incline you can go at and as fast as you can. I usually go at an incline of 15 at 3 mph. That burns close to 1000 calories an hour. do that 3 times a week and with a good consistant diet you will start seeing results. Just stick with it, its tough to lose weight but its totally worth it for your health!

got nuts with nuts eating a handful of nuts will help you stay full try soaking them in water for a different texture
