you will need: lasagna noodles( 1 package), 1 jar a traditional spaghetti sauce( easier then making your own),2 big containers ricotta cheese,2poundsmozzarella cheese,2 pounds cheddar cheese, 1 pound of hamburger meat! Boil the noodles in salted water till they are el dente ( still have a little bite to them) because they will cook more in the oven! while thats going brown your hamburger(place in a pan with a little salt and pepper, break up into little pieces and when its all brown it's done) drain all that fat out, and then place all of your sauce in that pan! let that cook and grate your mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese! the ricotta cheese is a creamy cheese usually found next to the cream cheese! When the noodles are done drain them in a strainer and place them back into the pot they cooked in because the steam will help them to dry! It's very hard to spread the ricotta cheese on the noodles when the noodles are wet! now you start your layer process(make sure your oven is preheating to 350 degrees) in a deep cassarole dish layer the whole bottom with noodles, then with a spoon take some ricotta cheese and spread a nice layer on each noodle, then get a big spoon and pour some sauce over all of that, then add your mozzeralla cheese all over then your cheddar cheese( don't skimp on the cheeses) then just continue that whole process untill you get to the top of the dish( you may have left over cheese, noodles, I don't usually have left over sauce though!! then place it in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until your cheese is melted and starting to get a golden color on top! enjoy

Preheat oven 350.

Use a disaposible 9" square pan about 2-3 inches deep. ladle the pan with a little sauce, just enough to cover the bottom. Spread a thin layer of egg-ricotta mixture over the pasta, and finish layer with a sprinkling of mozzarella. Repeat process of sauce, pasta, ricotta, and mozzarella. There should be about 3 layers. After last layer, cover the last layer with pasta, sauce and mozzarella. Cover it with alumnum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot.

First, buy the kind of lasagna that does not have to be pre cooked. Actually, regular will do, too.
You will need...

l pound very lean hamburger meat
2 bags of grated mozzerella cheese
1 large container of riccotta cheese
1 large jar of Ragu spagetti sauce (your choice )

Brown 1 pound of hamburg. Drain
Stir cooked hamburg into 1 jar of Ragu spaghetti sauce in a pan.

Take a 9" x 11" pan (or larger) and start to layer in this order

A little meat sauce (just a little bit, enough so the noodles don't stick to the pan)
Add a layer of noodles
Add a layer of sauce
Add a layer of riccotta cheese
Add a layer of mozzerella cheese
Keep alternating your layers.
The top layer should be mozzerella cheese
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Remove aluminum foil and continue to bake until a very golden brown. Allow it to sit for about 15 min before you cut it.

Here is a really easy recipe:
Buy:
box of the lasagna noodles you don't have to bake (Barilla is a good brand)
jar of pasta sauce (good quality)
small container ricotta cheese
bag of shredded Mozzarella cheese.
Ground beef or Italian sausage if desired.

I like to thin the ricotta with a small amount of milk to make it spread easier.
Layer- Noodles, ricotta, meat, sauce, shredded cheese.
For top layer use only sauce and mozzarella.
Bake about 1 hour at 350 (check noodles box for exact time and temperature)

the instructions are also on the back of the lasagna noodles box

Here's a tried and true "man lovin'" recipe for lasagne that's easy to make and delicious!

2 lbs spicy turkey Italian sausage
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1 28 oz can tomato sauce
1 15 oz can diced tomatos
1/3 cup olive oil
3 T dried Italian herbs
1 tsp fresh coarse ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil (opt.)
1 16 oz box Velveeta cheese
1 6 oz package shredded Italian cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 lasagne noodles

Saute sausage and onion until done. Drain. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatos, herbs, pepper and olive oil. Simmer for 15 minutes. Boil pasta according to package directions and drain. Cut Velveeta into 1/4 inch slices. In baking dish layer a little sauce, then 4 noodles, 1/3 of the sauce, 1/3 of the Velveeta, 1/3 of the shredded cheese and repeat, ending with sauce and cheese. Sprinkle with parmesan, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and remove foil. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

This is great with a green salad and hot french bread!

Well, I can give you the recipe that I use. I wish I could say it's a "no brainer" but if you follow the directions it'll come out fine. This is for feeding 8 to 10 people at a sitting...if it's just your guy and yourself you can cut down on the ingredients, but I'd cook the whole pan and the leftovers freeze quite well for future use. That being said, here's the recipe and directions:

LASAGNA RECIPE: (Serves 8-10 at one sitting)

Ingredients:
1 to 1 1/2 boxes of curly noodle Lasagna noodles.
1 large container of Ricotta Cheese (Whole Milk kind)
1 large "brick" of Mozzarella Cheese (Whole Milk kind)
(You may substitute the Skim Milk kind of cheeses for
the whole milk if you MUST, but, it's not going to
taste quite as good, in my humble opinion).
1 package of 6 Mild Italian Sausages
1 to 2 pounds Ground Chuck meat.
2 to 3 jars of Ragu Meat Flavored Spaghetti Sauce
2 Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Oregano
1/2 Cup of ground Parmesan Cheese
1 Large Roasting Pan
1 Roll of Aluminum Foil
1 Large Mixing Bowl.

Directions:

First, cook the sausages over a low heat on the stove top, and slice into small size pieces.

Second, break the ground chuck into small pieces and saute over a low heat,
continually breaking the pieces up so they're small.
(Drain both sausage and ground chuck on paper towels and cover)

Third, Put the Ricotta in a large mixing bowl, add the two eggs
and Oregano, and stir with a mixing spoon, thoroughly.

Fourth, slice up the Mozzarella chunk into small pieces...any shape, but not
too large in size....maybe like you'd slice carrots for a stew.

Fifth, start boiling a LARGE pot of water, or two smaller ones, into which
you've put a teaspoon of salt, and added a tablespoon of vegetable oil, like
Wesson, to the water. While the water is coming to a boil, slice up the
sausages into little pieces, about the size of peas or a dime. Just so
they're not big chunks.

Sixth, when water is boiling well, cook the lasagna noodles as per the
directions on the box....usually about 9 minutes in boiling water.

Seventh, drain the noodles in a collander, and RINSE WITH HOT WATER, THEN
WITH COLD WATER. (Believe me, rinsing it with the hot water first removes a LOT
of that starchy taste).

Eighth, take a large roasting pan or lasagna pan, and pour enough
tomato sauce in it to cover the bottom of the pan.

Now start layering lasagna noodles to form one layer across the
bottom, with the curly edges overlapping one another. Then,
put on some more sauce, then add some of the sausage pieces,
ground chuck, Ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese, and a bit more sauce.
Then add another layer of lasagna noodles.

Continue making the layers as above, so that you end up with a top layer of
noodles, covered slightly with more tomato sauce, and sprinkle the 1/2 cup of
Parmesan cheese and some mozzarella cheese over the top.

Ninth, take some aluminum foil, preferably heavy duty, and TIGHTLY cover the
pan with it.
(At this stage, I usually put the whole pan in the fridge, and cook
it the next day, just personal preference).

Tenth, when ready to cook it, put it in an oven set at around 325 to
350 degrees, and cook for about three hours, making sure the foil
stays tight on the pan.

That's it......then take the pan from the oven, and let it sit for about 20 minutes, so that it sort of "solidifies" a bit. Then remove the aluminum foil, and then use a spatula to cut out sections, put on plates, and enjoy!
Any leftovers can be put in containers and put in the fridge for
later eating for a few days, or sealed tightly in freezer designed
containers and frozen for use up to about a month later.
