ious diseases on entry to the UK,or does this infringe their human rights.

Its not so much a human rights issue its a public health issue. Unfortunately only legal immigrants are screened. This is one of the biggest reasons why illegal immigration is such a big deal.

NayNay you are wrong about the US...maybe the legal immigrants are screened but the 20 million illegal aliens have not been screened! Why do you think drug resistan strains of diseases we eradicated decades ago are back in the picture?

Those who sneak in, of course, can't be screened.
