I am enclosing my carport to make an apartment onto my house it already has a cement foundation with footings and a roof. Do I cut in plumbing next or do I have it framed up first?

I am very fortunate I live in the sticks and I am not requried to have a building permit I called and checked and we have no restrictions in this neighboorhood. I can do whatever I please.

have you gone to the city to see if you can do this? i've known people to be days from finishing, only to have to tear it down because it was not up to code. if so, do your plumbing first. again, hate to see you lose a lot of money. someone in the hood will always call the city on you, it only takes "one of those" neighbors, especially if they think you're going to rent it out... they don't like that.

You will have to jack hammer just the part of the slab that will have the bathtub and shower drains first..then frame it up..the plumbing will go into the wall..except for the drains..

frame it up first so people can't see what the hell you're doing.
