From all the things in the news that you hear about do you think that this world has gotten worse?

I just want your honest opinion.

I just wanted to know what everyone thought about my question. And I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

I know I sure don't want to be caught off guard when this system of things is about to be destroyed by Jehovah.

"While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet. “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.“Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another."-----Matthew 24:3-13 continued

"And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."-----Matthew 24:11-14

2 timothy 3:1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

you'd have to be blind to not see each and everyone of these things happening today. we are definatly living in the last days.

i'll be looking fwd to meeting you in paradise sister. :)

There is no doubt about it, we are in the Last Days. The prophecies are happening right before our very eyes. Have you noticed how the articles in the WT are now building us up ready for the Great Tribulation? Articles on having love, drawing close to Jehovah and one another, yes, as Paul said to Timothy, "critical times hard to deal with will be here" 2 Tim 3 v 1 - 5 and they are certainly hard to deal with.

Right now GW could push the button and all of us would be gone. Their is enough nukes in this world to blow it up many times. But the word of God says: Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success, and any tongue at all that will rise up against you in the judgment you will condemn. This is the hereditary possession of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from me,” is the utterance of Jehovah. Soon The Great day Of Jehovah will be upon us. Soon his kingdom will rule:“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite. Look around you. This world under control of satan is passing away. The word of God says: Get out of her my people! When you die you will have nothing but a ticket from Jesus. Ain't got no ticket from Jesus? You better get you one!

We are living in the last days. We are so close to the end of this system of things and we can see if by the conduct of mankind as brought out in 2 Timothy 3:2-5

"2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

People are so consumed with who they are and what they have, they think they don't need Jehovah in their lives, especially if that means giving up with they think is a treasure. But as we can see at Matthew 6:19-21 this is all in vain.

19 “Stop storing up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

I'm not sure what or when the last days will be but I do think that it is getting close because the system as we know it is passing away. You can see it by the destruction with Global Warming aqnd many other signs. . Now I don't know what God knows but I do think that we might be very close to end times. This may take many years to finish but God's plan is in the making. No one can stop it either, Thank you and God Bless you.

YES, all anyone has to do is listen to the news about what is going on world wide. Look what our younger generations are doing to others, lack of natural affection. Notice what the governments are doing to their own people, that includes us as well.

I think it is getting very close now. We are about to polute the earth past the point of no return. What a shame to ruin God's handiwork.
