People have been led by Spirit before and after the bible all over the globe. Anthropologists find that the basic core practice of shamanism seems to spring spontaneously wherever people are free from the scourge of doctrine. This is because within each of us there is a doorway to the spirit realm waiting to be discovered. It can be found by chance, or by instruction of others who know it. It is not an idea or theory or wish, but a method one can try and see for oneself.

It really depends on the so called holy spirit. People have different views on the holy spirit, of what it an be and mean. A holy spirit isn't just to do with Christianity.

A basic, universal phenomenon in the human psyche that is mystical in nature has traditionally been called the "Holy Spirit" in Christian culture whereas other cultures and religions, past and present, have other names for it . The general experience of it is similar. If you read the material of hermeticists, neoplatonists, shamans, yogis, or Kabbalist, Hindu, Buddhist, or Native American mystics, etc., you will come upon people who give personal descriptions of spiritual reveries that parallel those of persons who have had Christian "rebirth" experiences. Indeed, the language to describe the experiences is often similar. In effect, people who have never heard of the Bible or of Jesus or the Christian message can indeed experience the Holy Spirit and live their lives iaccording to its spiritual inspiration.

Yes, the bible is simply a guide for us to live by. Before the bible was written there were people led to Christ and 120 were baptized with the Holy Ghost. Thousands of people in foreign countries are led to Christ by missionaries that carry the gospel. Jesus created us and can prick the heart of anyone that is willing to listen.

Yes.

The dispute is if the Holy Spirit leads those to God not via the Bible and Jesus. Still through Christ (the Christos) - but not the Bible or Jesus.

Yes. God moves who He chooses. He moved Cyrus to help the Jews rebuild their temple. There are many other examples.

But remember, being moved by God's Spirit and being saved are two different things. To be "indwelt" by the Holy Spirit requires having Jesus as Lord and Savior.

I believe they can. God is no respecter of persons, He has said. If He wants to use someone for His purpose, He can and does. He would find a way, even if the person involved is not aware of the Holy Spirit.

Yes because the Holy Spirit is God and He is the Spirit of truth to lead people to the Truth. (Jesus) He is the one who enables people to understand the truth about God, the bible, and who Jesus is.

Absolutely! Everyone has the law of God written on their heart and can come to faith by the Holy Spirit drawing them to surrender to that law.
