I like your attitude,,it IS a tough battle and your will has got to be equally as tough as the addiction you had. YOU CAN DO IT!
I'll be in your corner routing for ya! I beat smoking and if I can beat smoking,,,you can beat your pain pill addiction.
It also helps to keep yourself physically fit,,this enforces the idea in your brain that you do not need pain pills,,,so do what you can to feel good, the GOOD way ie,,,eating good,,excersizing,,,good personal hygein,,ect ect.
I got on yahoo answers alot to help me forget about my addiction woes.

if you fall back...cause DTs are THE hardest thing you'll do in life... get into a program (outpatient if you have a strong enough will/want to be clean). they help fix u mentally and for the withdrawals, there are meds they can give you that they will watch like hawks (suboxone). you won't be able to take anything stronger than an advil and no drinking. get to a local NA meeting and get involved. it's really the ONLY way to stay clean and you get a great support group and true friends out of it. good luck.

Good luck. It will get worse before it gets better. One thing the article left off, clean set of bed spreads so you can rotate your sweat-drenched ones out. I've been through this often enough to know all of the DT's. The worst for me was the sleeplessness.
