Why is there no mention of the Flood in the records of Egyptian or Mesopotamian civilizations which existed at the time? Biblical dates (I Kings 6:1, Gal 3:17, various generation lengths given in Genesis) place the Flood 1300 years before Solomon began the first temple. We can construct reliable chronologies for near Eastern history, particularly for Egypt, from many kinds of records from the literate cultures in the near East. These records are independent of, but supported by, dating methods such as dendrochronology and carbon-14. The building of the first temple can be dated to 950 B.C. +/- some small delta, placing the Flood around 2250 B.C. Unfortunately, the Egyptians (among others) have written records dating well back before 2250 B.C. (the Great Pyramid, for example dates to the 26th century B.C., 300 years before the Biblical date for the Flood). No sign in Egyptian inscriptions of this global flood around 2250 B.C.

The bible says:
"Genesis 8:4
4And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat."

There is an anomaly around mount Ararat (Turkey) which many claim to be the ark, it's been visited by many research teams over the years and in shape and material found to match the biblical description of the Ark to a T.

Google: Ararat Noah
or see this site

Noah didn't park the ark.

as the waters of the flood receded the tips of the mountains become visible. On Mt. Ararat (Arayat in some cases) Noah's ark drifted and settled as more of the earth was revealed.

you can say that water currents and wind and the Hand of God actually parked the ark.

LOL

Cute choice of words but Noah did not "park the ark" It came to rest on Mt. Ararat in Turkey....this was because God did it...not Noah...

Mt Ararat near Turkey and it is encased in ice, broken in two on two different levels and is sliding down the most dangerous side of it.

In The Movie Evan Almighty, the set builders built one that is an exact duplicate of it in Virginnia.

Mount Ararat. Based upon the historical timing of this tale, this would have been somewhere South of Iraq along the shore of the Indian Ocean.
