Add potatoes, it will soak up the salt. Water will dilute the salty taste. Pepper will contrast the over salting.

dilute with water and add a fresh chicken in the broth. This will give it lots of flavor with no more salt. Let the chicken boil till cooked and use it for chicken salad sandwiches or mabe over some tortilla chips with salsa and cheese. Yum. Can you tell its almost lunch time.

You can add a quarter to half a cup of water to dilute the stock and a pinch or two of sugar . Alternatively add a cut tomato...it will absorb the saltiness and ameliorate the taste.

First I would split the stock, add potato to each batch, reducing the salt content (potato will absorb the salt), then add water or low sodium stock/broth and freeze 1/2 for use later. good Luck !!!

Toss in a peeled potato and simmer until it's tender.
It'll pull the salt right out of the stock without changing the flavor.

Actually if you put a raw potato in anything that contains too much salt, the potato with draw down the salt content.
Adding water will only dilute your stock, it wont affect the salt content.

Well, about the only thing you can do is add more water, but that's really going to take away the other flavors too...Can you get some low sodium broth to mix with the water? I think that's the way to go, my friend. Good luck!

Adding water could drown the taste, but maybe you could add unsalted or reduced-sodium stock instead? Or maybe a vegetable stock?

Add water to adjust. I recommend you make a new one. Stock and soups are like that; once you add too much salt, you can't take it out, and if it boils for too long uncovered it undergoes what professional Chefs call "reduction". It will then become much saltier. The trend now is to eat healthy and put less salt in food. Enjoy! {:-)

Dilute it with dry white wine, add escarole, carrots, celery, onions, pastina, chicken, little meetballs, and you've got a nice pot of Italian wedding soup!!!... Sprinkle a little grated parmesan on it before you eat it. enjoy!
