Turn the tables on your teacher. Ask her why in the world we'd want it colder?

Question authority! (Considering her orthodoxy, she may embrace your response...)

Stopping Global Warming my be too late. That is because of the amounts we are putting out there , coupled with a "lag time" scenario setting up the possibly of sending our climates into an immediate shock and balance correction.
Doing things now to slow or stop global climate change is more of an optimistic look to the future and hoping the wealthy oil companies and anti-science people and China get a clue.

Since all of global warming is caused by the cycles of the sun, what you have to do is stop the sun from shining on the earth. For real information I suggest you read the book below, which shows conclusively that "global warming" is a normal cycle which happens every 1500 years, give or take 500 years.

it's all about how fast it's occurring, you have to accept evolution as fact to accept global warming, otherwise this is just a normal spike if you compress the "records" from 100 million years to just 9,000 years.

Anyways true or not the awnser you want is.
High Car Gas millage.
Cleaner more efficient fuels.
Switch over to renewable energies.
Perfect Thermonuclear fusion (all are stalls to buy time for this)
Add CO2 to the list of common air pollutants.
help developing countries cut their emissions
Recycle instead of wasting.

It is a natural cycle that the Earth has gone through before, as was the Ice Age.

I don't think we can do much to reduce the speed of the process, if you consider the period of time that has gone by since the last Ice Age and that it would probably be almost as many eons to enter another one. I would say however, that planting trees (a natural counter-measure to CO2 emissions, since trees give off oxygen) would be the way to go. We have destroyed far too many forests for housing purposes.

Prove it as a natural occuring cycle, theory only. Global warming is the biggest farce of the 20th century...

It's not just what we as individuals can do, it's also about what our businesses can do. A recent CNET article I read (http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9801922-7.html) illustrates how those of us who work for large companies can do our part to combat climate change. We all need to do our part, but one company can reduce huge amounts of GHG and save money (e.g., reduced energy consumption) at the same time.

it has some great ideas, knowledge is key also.....learn what causes global warming and educate yourself on what you can do to help. We have to take it upon ourselves to be responsible, we can't wait for our government to do what is right with this issue so it is up to each and everyone of us to do what we can and vote an environmentally friendly person into office, example Australia's new prime minster.

Stand in front of a tsunami and demand that it stop.
You'll get about the same result.
