Is it because most people on Yahoo answers have a degree in internal/external medicine that there are so many medical questions on Y/A?

Interesting.
I am a surgeon with a PhD in neurological sciences, and guess what??
Many askers think I am lying or trying to take them for a ride, because I put my degree in my profile.
Most of the times, the questions posed, do not take in account many of my answers, no matter how well structured or well based my answers might be.....however I do agree, that it is one milimiter behind impossible, to check all participants credentials...many of them arejokeful or fake, and we are victimized at the end.........
I think most of people entering yahoo answers are genuinely interested in some medical topic.. as I understand, the medicine section, is one of the ones with more traffic and questions..

Maybe its because of the high interest in medicine and nothing more. Of course the science of medicine is the concern of every thinking being be they Ph.Ds or not.
