I'm having an EXTREEEEEEEME craving for one!!! I don't put sugar or Splenda or anything on it -- I eat it like you would an orange (peeling it and pulling apart the slices). Last night I had about 4 slices and I'm thinking about having the rest of it today.

How far off with that throw my Atkins diet? I did the grapefruit diet once before and it surprisingly WORKED, so I'm thinking (well, more like hoping) that maybe a grapefruit here or there could be an exception to the strict Atkins diet??????????

lol HELP ME OUT HERE PLEASE!!!!! I'll pick a best answer TODAY! Thanks!! :)

Half a grapefruit would be just fine for a low carb diet... If you cut out carbs completely it is very bad for you and will give you bad breath.

Grapefruit is good for you, not that high in carbs and an excellent source of energy.

grapefruit is a low GI carbohydrate so it does not have a large impact on blood sugar levels so there is not much of an increase in insulin from that food item. all natural foods are always healthy when consumed in moderation.
