I think the right to personal liberty ends where rudeness to someone else begins. Whoever did this obviously knew that Muslims consider pigs unclean and meant to intimidate them into leaving the site or at least meant to express their hatred of Muslims.
Being an atheist or not doesn't enter into it. It's just the same as if it were someone's non-religious cultural tradition to shun pigs or pork. It's still rude, and it speaks of someone who allows their prejudices get in the way of what's fair and peaceable.

Religious schools are ridiculous. Why a society that values freedom of religion can tolerate such institutionalised indoctrination is beyond me.
But putting pigs' heads and a flag on the proposed site isn't the way to go about protesting. And the inclusion of the flag, reminiscent of the Cronulla Riots, suggests the target was Muslims rather than religious indoctrination.

I basically examine the question and go from there. I oftentimes ignore something. I answer the question depending on the question itself. besides, no individual must be frightened of inner most liberty and self reliance. Take a probability and both sink or swim in accordance along with your own labor and earnings. no individual or organization must be there to bail you out do you should fail. You learn out of your blunders, %. up the products and flow on.

I'm not conflicted, as an atheist.
That's just awful! What a terrible thing to do! Even if you disagree with something, you should never stoop to the level of being a jerk and trying to hurt others. Respect and peace aren't won by treating others like garbage, just because their beliefs are different than yours.

Australia's religious defamation laws are the antithesis of personal freedom. The only legitimate laws broken were trespass and littering.
Islam is a real threat to liberty.

In America we are a Christian nation. The same thing is happening with Muslims bringing their Islamic religion into our country. Our country is set up for the Christian religion with many different denominations. Islam calls Christians infidels. Immigrants should not be allowed to make us change our country for them. They should change to the ways of our country or go home.

You can't force someone to think a different way or taunt them into doing so. Sure, I'll mock the hell out of other religions (only with words), but I wouldn't do something like provocative vandalism (which, in essence, is what that was).

Bigotry is bigotry. even if it targets a group you do not identify with.
If you truly believe in liberty, you defend everyone's liberty (excluding, of course, the point where it infringes upon others).
When you start picking and choosing whose liberty you support, you are not believing in liberty, you are only supporting class privilege disguised as liberty.

I suppose there could be hygenic/sanitation issues involved with a public display of severed animal body parts; and I know of no organized religion that would REQUIRE such a display.
Whoever did it should own up, and grow up.
