if so what do they do, do they donate used, new, furniture or clothes? I was just curious thank you.

Yes, the Salvation Army started in about 1878 and is now in 113 countries, during the after math of Katrina they sent in field kitchens and they have volunteers come in and fix meals, they pass out water, they can provide counseling, they also have thrift stores and shops with furniture and are nonpolitical which is saying alot, the red cross and United way are all politics these days.

depends were you live. some army groups do as part of help to families. most concentrate on the homeless and other in extrime need.
