Why spend it alone?

Each year for Thanksgiving and Christmas I have a huge dinner for everyone in our motorcycle group who can't get home for the holidays. It's a great time for everyone.

Get together with family and friends or volunteer at a soup kitchen. Create Christmas for a needy family.

Sometimes, doing things to make someone else happy takes your mind off your own sadness.

Well, I've never had a boyfriend on ANY holiday ever in my life. So spending the holidays without a significant other isn't a big deal. Spending the holidays without my family, on the other hand, is a big deal. And yes, I'll be spending mine alone. It's just me and my cat. I just do what I can to make those days seem special to me, even if I'm not with anyone else.

Over my lifetime I even have spent many holiday trips on my own for the comparable motives as you. My family contributors became into around the country and that i could no longer get day off from my pastime to circulate to them. I consistently tried to make the terrific of the day via doing some thing that I enjoyed. One Thanksgiving I volunteered to artwork on my own babysitting a very long laptop technique on account that I had no plans and everybody else became into married with infants. I spent the day interior the laptop room reading books and magazines. approximately each 0.5 hour the telephone might ring and it would be considered one of my co-workers or a supervisor only checking to be certain how i became into doing. At our Christmas party that 12 months my colleagues provided me with 'the main Unselfish man or woman' award. That became into 35 years in the past and that i nonetheless recollect it.
