I've been to the Grenadier in Belgravia and loved it - so am looking for something with a similar feel and good pub food (i.e. fish and chips, sausage and mash etc.) Anywhere in greater london works.

The King Edward in Stratford. Good food, good beer, good wine.
It is an old pub with loads of atmosphere, friendly staff and clientele.
The address 47 Broadway Stratford. The location close to the station with DLR, Central, Jubilee and Overground.
