ok so i went through a relationship for over a year always constantly getting jealous and creating things up in my head to what my girlfriend could be doing. i could take anything she did and turn it into somehow she was cheating or lying to me. well i was reading this book called "Romantic Jealousy" and it sounds like it was written for me. it described this one disorder like dillusional jealousy disorder and it sounded exactly like me. I may have a personality disorder too. i want to see a psychiatrist so i can find out what it is that i have to i can better fix it. does anybody have any advice on this situation? or any questions?

Jealousy will only cause you heart ache. You will make your girlfriend think that you don't trust her and that will only cause her to pull away. Love and accept her for who she is enjoy the time you spend together. Think about how she feels when you two are together and you are accusing her of cheating or lying. Who would want to spend time with someone that is only gana throw negative accusations every time you are together, shes not gana want to be around someone like that.Enjoy the time you spend with her instead of throwing negative energy around, be more positive and trusting.

if you want medication see a psychiatrist. if you want to talk to a wall see a psychiatrist.

if you want to talk to someone and maybe deal with stuff see a psychotherapist or a counselor or a psychologist.

if you REALLY want to get into and deal with the hows and whys of what you are doing (known as causes and conditions) then go see a very experienced psychotherapist that uses hypnotherapy. invest some money in yourself and work out this crap. and then, you can live a HAPPY contented life.

also:

what are you eating?
what daily exercise are you getting?
what relaxation techniques are you practicing daily 2 sessions 20 minutes each time.

if you need more information, see my profile and my website.

good luck!

i hope that you do not choose misery and suffering!

If you feel it is something that will affect future relationships, better to get it taken care of now. Otherwise, no relationship will ever work for you.
Good Luck !
