okay...yesterday, my arm had kept going numb and tingly and feeling like my funny bone was being hit, but really wasn't. then my had would cramp up and it would hurt extremely badly to move them.

now today, if i put pressure on my hand, and it moves back toward my arm as if i were leaning on them, i get a shock of major pain and my hand gets all tingly but if i hold it straight, in a matter of minutes the pain goes away...this does not happen in my other arm...any idea of what it could be?

oh and i don't work out because i was recently diagnosed with mono. so it cant have anything to do with that.

thanks!

You need to see a physical therapist or a chiropractor. The problem isn't in your wrist, it's somewhere between your neck to your elbow that's compressing upon a nerve causing the symptom you're experiencing.

you may have carpal tunnel syndrome.

Do you do a lot of repetive motion with that hand (playing video games, writing, playing guitar). When I was in art school, I had a project that required a tremendous amount of cutting with a mat knife. My hand felt and reacted the same way you are describing yours.

The only cure for it is rest, it may take several weeks to several months to clear up. (mine took 2 months). When it does clear up, you should be aware that you are prone to CTS and need to rest your hands periodically. If you don't then you can do a great deal of damage to your hand and then have to have surgery to correct it.

You need to go to the dr. It could be any number of things---broken, carpal tunnel or severe tendonitis. I have severe tendonitis in my elbow (same thing as "tennis elbow") and go through times like you've described on occasion. If it's tendonities--you should be able to feel the tendon with your fingers that runs from you elbow to your hand--it kind of feels like it runs from the front part of you elbow to the middle of the top side of your wrists. regardless--you need to have it checked, if you don't---could have serious side effects and even nerve damages if it continues without treatment.

Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. (CTS). Happens with repetitive movements on the job for years. Only a doctor can diagnose it. It can be caused from repetitive weight lifting such as in exercise. But since you say you don't exercise, it can be caused from repetitive motion from other things.

Massage with massage oil or creme for bones and mussels. You can easily get it in chemist's shop.
