Or God simply could have not thrown his hissy fit over a piece of fruit (which he knew was going to happen anyway) and stop it right there.

"Jesus had to do was say you sins are forgiven and skip the drama."
I'd like to know how you came by this revelation that forgiving sins is so easy?
If an unrepentant rapist is on trial and the judge says "Oh, no big deal! Go free!" the rapist will rape again, and the victim receives no justice! If God is the judge of all creation and he merely forgives all sins without there being any punishment or retribution, where is the justice in the universe?
Instead of whitewashing sin, Jesus took on the punishment. In the case above it would be as if the judge stepped down from the bench and decided to serve the jail time of the rapist while at the same time giving the rapist a new heart so that the rapist would be sorry for what he had done and never rape again... that is the power of Jesus's sacrifice!

It always amazes me how emotional atheists are towards the Christian message. They go to such elaborate lengths to try and prove that God does not exist. They have an obsession with God. They have an anti-faith that they feel they most propagate.
Yet if I were to rant and rave that pink elephants do not exist then no one would pay any notice to me. Yet because a Living God does exist there is always the rebellious children who feel they have to attack what is Truth and Love itself.
Everything in their atheistic belief is relative to them according to their culture, education and formation they have had. Yet in Christ there is no relativity in this sense only Love that cast out all fear. My dear friend reason alone can not explain why every human culture in the world has had a form of religious worship to somthing greater then themselves. Now you may claim that Jesus is not your God. Yet I am sure that possibly money or ambition has become your God. Maybe your life is obsessed with an ideology that never brings you peace. Yet that restlessness drives you on searching, questioning what is and what is not. I do hope that you find the peace, love and stability that only Jesus Christ can provide.

I don't know that feeling bad that Christ died is an absolute criteria. He lived a perfect life so that we wouldn't have to. He didn't skip the drama since he wanted to be one of us. He died as a common criminal because people thought he was a problem as do a lot of people who get falsely accused. Maybe you don't have to feel sorry for him, but he was killed by people of the time and for what?

There is no where at all in the teaching of Christ that we are to feel guilty about anything. Next time you read, try to understand, you might get something out of it then.

I don't "feel bad that Christ died," dear one, I rejoice that my Savior loved me so much! No greater love could there ever be!
I pray that one day you will also know Him.
God bless!

It is the Spirit that reveals truth and obviously you do not have the Spirit. So get off your high horse and admit God has not revealed truth to you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
1 Corinthians 2:6 ¶ Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
You are an evil man.

JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS TO PROVE HIS LOVE FOR US.
YOU HAVE IT WRONG IT IS NOT CHRISTIANITY THAT IS WEAK. IT IS NONBELIEVERS THAT ARE WEAK. CHRISTIANS HAVE LOVE FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT HAVE HATE. YOU CAN ALWAYS AT ANYTIME TALK TO A TRUE RELIGIOUS PERSON. NEVER WILL WE SAY NEGATIVE AND ALWAYS TRY TO HELP YOU. THAT WHATS GOD'S PEOPLE DO. WE ARE A PIECE OF GOD AND WE SHOW LOVE FOR ALL MAN KIND.

Face it. You're lost.
You can STUDY the Bible till you're blue in the face. It's one thing to know the Bible, it's quite another to know the Author.
