I'm throwing a party for her graduation and people keep asking what they can give her as a gift. She has a blackberry, a car, and a laptop, 30 pair of shoes and a closet full of clothes. Basically, she's got everything! Any suggestions?

She's living with my sister post-grad and working at a clinic/school for nonverbal kids. Then in Sept, she starts grad school living with us.

A trip somewhere, maybe Europe, Japan, Africa, India, or an Island. Let her see how other people live.

Congratulations, you proud Mama.

What about giving to someone less fortunate in her name? Does she have a favorite charity? If not, try the World Vision gift catalog - people can give many different needed items to families in third world contries, and a nice card is sent to the person the gift is given in honor of.

Tell the guests she has a travel fund!

Any guests wanting to give a gift can give a money present so that once your daughter is finished post-grad studies she can take a nice long holiday. She probably needs to.

Does she live with you or on her own? If she lives with you then she may be wanting to "fly the coup" ? Maybe some giftcards for places she likes OR gift cert. for air travel.. So she can fly anywhere for a lower cost/free ! Maybe a spa gift cert. Or something/somewhere she can pamper herself... Congrats on your grad... Good luck

Gift cards are always great. I know some people think it's not "personal" but that's mainly older people that say that. I'd say most younger people welcome them and actually prefer them. Gift cards to fine department stores, malls, or even gas cards would be good ones.

Cash.
Depending on how many people are attending, you also could suggest that everyone pitch in and buy her some sort of vacation package or pay a month's rent at her apartment. When my friend's older brother graduated we paid for a month in his apartment and he really appreciated it.
