Yes, the Gold Coast is a great place for a family holiday with teenagers.
The only setback is there never seems to be enough time to do and see everything.

If you can make it, take a trip up to Australia Zoo at Beerwah for a day trip, it's very worthwhile. You don't have to drive, there are bus trips and trains you can take from the Gold Coast.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is also a good day out, it's on the Gold Coast.

I prefer the Sunshine Coast for my holidays, but I'm not a teenager.
The Gold Coast has far more to keep the teenagers amused.

Hey i went to the Gold Coast with my parter about August and it was sooooo nice. I'm from Perth and it was pouring with rain when we left and when we came back but in Gold Coast it was like another world i wish i could move there the weather was so nice!

The hotel was great it had everything we needed and it was pretty cheap only like $150 a night i think? It has a heated pool and spa it was heaven!

We went to the beach the sand felt like i was walking on flour it was so nice. The theme parks are the BEST! Here in Perth we have one theme park called adventure world that's it!!!

Movieworld, Seaworld, Dreamworld i love the most because i was sitting about a meter away from two baby tigers they walk them around the park!

There are SOOOOO many shops! Starbucks!! I was like wow ha ha i took a photo! Nice places to eat friendly people it was great.

I'm sure you'll love it!

The Gold Coast is a bit too glitzy for my liking. The Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane is lovely and not as over commercialised as the Gold Coast, personally I think it's a far nicer option especially if your bringing children.

I'd rather visit anywhere else in Australia than the Gold Coast. I live too close to it in northern NSW (which is much better than the GC) and detest the place. That's just me, many people love it and have a good time there.
