Use steam such as from a hot shower, and to your drinks add tea with lemon, ginger, and honey in it.

For medicines, you might try Nyquil or perhaps even Sudafed.

If this mess doesn't start clearing up fast, bite the bullet and visit a doctor: You might have something a bit worse than a run-of-the-mill cold.

If all you have is just a cold, you should start seeing an improvement as soon as tonight.

Good luck!

David: The good news is that a cold usually lasts 7 to 10 days, so you should be feeling better in a few days. Nothing really works to get rid of a cold, you can only ease the symptoms. An antihistamine will help with the watery eyes and the runny nose. Be sure to drink plenty of water. The OJ won't hurt, but water is better to keep you hydrated. Chicken soup is soothing and the steam may help your nasal passages. A good all around cold medicine is Aleve cold and sinus or Dayquil. Try propping yourself up on a bunch of pillows to keep the nasal passages draining and you will sleep a bit better.
