No?
Then why do you so readily accept that a God exists? Are you making your very own decision, or are you perhaps just taking what you've read or what some other human being has told you to be the absolute (God's honest) truth?

jadore7: Actually I have read the Bible and taken several classes on religion in school, so I'm not unfamiliar with the Scripture.
All of you who say you know Jesus and God and have absolute faith in their existence, I'm happy for you, honestly I am. However, whereas lots of scientific principles can be reproduced and proven to work, the existence of God cannot, at least not with our current knowledge.
It's not enough for me to simply accept on faith that something exists. Furthermore, I certainly will not curtail my enjoyment of life by obeying religious doctrine simply because some religious authority claims that it is indeed the will or word of God. I would encourage those of you who do this to challenge this notion that the human concept of God and that the words maintained in the human documents including the Bible may not be intended as an instruction manual for life, and indeed, may be themselves corrupt and perverted beyond whatever their original intent might've been

Hey, I'm certainly not trying to claim I know everything, I don't even know what my bank account balance currently is.
Perhaps one of the only things we can be certain of in life is that we will not know everything. The other is that change is constant, but that's a whole other question.

NO ONE will ever know Everything. I believe as I do because I can't believe anything else. It is how I think, and what I am. I can't envision a universe with out God. You are free to believe as you will..For me I know there is a God.

Just remember brother, then you'll also find that God lives! This is true that He is the truth. I believe, one blessed morning you too will discover that you have a personal relationship with Him! One mystical moment, you will soak with loving tears to find out that He has always loved you without ever condemning you and He'll do so for the eternity.
All that I say here, are things that have happened to me. I have never read any religious book before. What I say is not from the knowledge of any religion of the world. Neither am I a follower of any religion. But still I am a follower of God!
Rise to that cosciousness where you can understand that to find Him, you must believe in the first place that He is! Belief is the key here. All the things that you see around yourself were beliefs at first! Only then did they materialize. Someone believed there would be a car someday so it appeared! Someone believed that something like a pyramid could be made, so it became. This is the Law.
Keep loving all you see, all you meet with all your heart. Dont let that ever change. Even love those who hate you, then you shall find God.
Peace
Nebeer

And do you know everything there is to know?
Then why do people so readily accept that God does not exist? Are you making your very own decision, or are you perhaps just taking what you've read or what some other human being has told you to be the absolute (Big Bang Theory) truth?

ABSOLUTE honest truth hheehehhehehe .. we has humans don't usually have absloute truth,. BUT I listen to what others say AND then to what GOD HIMSELF has writen ,, YOU know what??
I find when i do this many many of those that quote scriptures only do so partially or in a fashion that suits their understanding. MANY try to put GODin their own perspective and leave out the parts they don't like .. their aresome parts of the bible that if u dont search it thouroughly u will get what it says wrong .. .. wont get ten points here , nonetheless GODS word is true and if u do the research and be honest and open like a little child .. you will be led to the ful knowledge of GODS truth ; I AM; has promised this.. sincerely ;;bro murray

No. There are still things I need to learn about God. That is why I am attending Bible college at age 59. I do know enough to readily accept that a God exists. Known that for 50 years.

We have the mind of Christ
We hold in our hands the absolute truth
But man when will you read the Bible for itself and not take the junk that is spoon fed to you
Daniel and John are told we are not to get it all of the every thing that there is to know.
Some books are sealed and will be opened to see some really horrific truth......Your name is not in there and that is horrific.
You cannot know every thing by the way, as the maximum human minds capacity in this life time is 10 - 15 %
Pride
is deadly
and seeing that you judge yourself unworthy of eternal life, why do you not just forget ever asking the questions in the first place, and driving yourself to distraction, save yourself the waste of your time,
Go live liffe to the max,
and then see you where you aught not to go but so choose to go
Be my guest.
Cause I ain't going

While I don't know everything, I do know the One who does. He has made Himself known to me, and lives in me.
I have received the trustworthy eyewitness testimony of those who knew Jesus personally, and wrote about Him.
Why do I find their testimony credible? Because no one will knowingly go to their death for a lie that they know to be a lie. And yet all of the Apostles (except for John) died with the testimony of Jesus being risen from the dead on their lips. They were even offered an opportunity to recant, and live. But they knew in Whom they'd believed, and trusted a better reward awaited them.
During the Watergate scandal of the '70s, the conspirators could not keep their lie together for two weeks. None of them was threatened with death. The worse thing that could have happened was prison. And these guys began ratting each other out at the first sign of trouble. Not so with the Apostles.
Therefore, I can stand with confidence that Jesus is not only God, but that what has been testified about Him in the Bible is true.

No. Our knowledge is never complete. But we can be positive that Jesus is the Christ and God the Father exists. As for the last question all I have to say is I take nobody else's word for it. I go based off of my own personal experience.

No, I do not know everything there is to know. I have made my very own decision based on my experiences, what I have studided and read, and what others have shared with me. Now, did you make your very own decision about what you believe? Or are you just taking what you read or what some other human being has told you as the absolute truth?

No. I do not know everything there is to know. Our minds cannot comprehend the complete glory of God. I respect your question but still remain steadfast about God. It is not that I have only read about God...i know God...He has brought me through so much...check out my 360. Faith is required to enter into a relationship with God...try it...and you'll see...there is nothing like it...Merry Christmas!
