Strictly speaking, any Catholic man can be elected Pope, so I guess there is still hope for me. There is no requirement that the Pope be a priest or celibate. If you want to get technical about it the answer is yes, Popes can have sex.

In reality, the Pope is elected from the College of Cardinals. All Cardinals are priests, so no.

Some Catholic priests are married. there are 23 Rites of the Catholic Church in communion with each other and even some Catholics who are not in communion with the Latin Rite such as the Orthodox and Old Catholics. Only the Latin Rite has the discipline of celibate priests all others allow married priests. Even under special circumstances, former Protestant ministers may become priests even if they are married. I am a married priest.

Catholic priests, of which the Pope is the top of the food chain, take a vow of chastity. However, you should check out the "Banquet of Chestnuts" from history. Some popes knew how to party!

Can he? Yes, he is physically capable of it. Is it approved or allowed? No, but by man, not by God. Priests are Catholic and should not have sex, but pastors, reverends, preachers, etc can.

Only Catholic priests aren't allowed to have sex, the pope is Catholic and you have to be a priest before you become the pope, so no...he doesn't have sex either.

"Can" they? Yes, and many have. In the past, especially, the papacy was corrupt and many popes were womanizers. However, it is against Church doctrine. I am inclined to believe that John Paul II did not--I don't know enough about Benedict XVI.

no priests and those who come from that as their root - bishops, cardinals, the pope.... all take a vow of celibacy.
they still have the parts, they are not eunichs, they opt not to participate. just as any person (IMO) who is single should do :)

reverands, ministers, etc who are married (i'm sure) have sex with their spouse.

Bible believing Pastors are allowed to get married and have normal sexual relations with their wife, just like any other married man.

There is nothing sinful about sex, as long as its within marriage.

Have you ever read First Timothy chapter four?

They're not supposed to, but it hasn't always stopped them. One of the Bonifaces (I forget his number) died while committing adultry!
