at the end of last year My ex pushed me out of a window on the forth floor so I am lucky to be alive. As a result of this I have the worst memory ever. I have done pretty well for myself though considering the cercomstances, I mean I am up and walking around and I run my own flat and I am trying to get my life sorted. I love computers so I am doing a lot of reading in the computer world. has anyone got any tips that might help me?

first I hope your not with that person anymore! there is a few supplements that you can take that will help with blood flow and oxygen to the brain. phosphatidylserine is very good for helping focus and memory, cod liver oil, Ginkgo Biloba for blood flow. also get an adjustment from a good Dr. also check with your Dr. to rule out any other cause for foggy thinking.hope you keep your feet on the ground . That was a long way down! I fell on the cold cement floor last year. I have difficulties with memory, verbalization, and lack of concentration. I have been seeing a neurologist, as well as four other doctors. Through work I have a consultant firm who is working on my case for social security disability. Now my case is on appeal. They say get a lawyer specializing social security. I was told by the adviser that my case is the first of its kind to be heard. The question is can you be trained for something else? Can you perform the duties of your last job.? I have logged all the medical notes so I won't forget, its 23 pages long. The neurologist tells me that it takes time for the brain to heal and even years. I had a bilateral hemotome performed. There are signs that the doctors don't want to get involved social security. The process will take so much time for the doctors, and in some cases they have to go to court on your behalf. Yet, they do tell me that I was lucky, also I am bi-polar, so this won't help my case. Yes, I am using the computer for the same reason. My daughters are women now and say they want their mother back

I can't improve your memory as it appears that it is similar to my husband. He drives me mad some days as he can't remember things but he had a massive head injury in a car crash! However he is currently studying with the Open University for a computer course. They have been marvellous and if you can get a doctors note detailling the problems the they will class you as a disabled student and hoepfully go out of their way to help you with your studies. It might be worth giving them a ring. Also they don't just do full blown degrees they do certificates and returning to learning courses etc.
You can do it if you really want to no memory or not. Might jsut be worth getting some help from a second source....plus if you are on low or relatively low income you can get grants towards courses.
Good luck I think you sound like you are doing really well.
