Go to the doctor and stop getting random medical advise from complete strangers on the internet before you end up with no face.

I know the feeling love, I love my nose ring too and would be devestated if I had to take it out. I would do the following couple of things, first of all don't touch it with your bare hands. Get some gloves from the person that pierced it or a friend in the medical or food industry. You carry bacteria on your hands even after you wash them, next I would get some sea salt and warm water and start soaking ( I know, how do you soak your nose right) your nose in warm water, you will look funny doing it, but beauty is worth it right? Get a bowl or whatever works and litterally put your nose right down in it twice a day, make sure you only put your nose in it, breathe through your mouth (obvioulsy). Do it for about 5 minutes at a time, and just see what happens..........it's my best advice, leave it alone other than that..........no touching it!! :) Good luck sweetie.

If it is infected go see a doctor, have him or her prescribe you some more antibiotics. Maybe see if they could give you stronger ones, if the last ones didnt' work?
Don't remove the jewelry if it is, because that will trap the infection in your body. With the jewelry there, it gives the place for the infection to drain.
Don't use rubbing alcohol or peroxide, that will also kill the good bacteria forming as well as the bad. Treat it as a new piercing.

I got mine done mid october and I have been cleaning it and taking really good care of it. but it got snagged the other day and I now too have the "bump". I am going to my piercer tomorrow but I have been cleaning it like crazy with salt water. I was using H2Ocean at first and that was working REALLY well but then I ran out. I would recommend using that for your nose and the antiseptic swabs that you snap and rub around the piercing. Whatever you do. don't turn it or play with it, you will only irritate it more. Just know I feel your frustration as well and I hope yours gets better. Good luck!

First of all, I understand completely. You go through the pain and don't want to now take it out. I have a nose piercing, and although it didn't do that, I went through that with my belly, and my sister went through that with her ear up top. What we both did that worked for us was we put stud in there that was tight enough that it didn't give it room to swell and make the bump. You have to clean it more than usual, and ofcourse it isn't comfortable, but it worked. when it got past that phase, I put a hoop (so did she) in it so it can now breath and finish healing.
Hope it works out for you. I have also hear that there is some seawater spray you can buy thast helps it heal much faster.

Go back to the doctor one more time. Tell him/her you want to keep the piercing so would like to get the infection treated again. If the infection comes back a third time, then my guess is you body just doesn't want the piercing.

email Michael Jackson, he knows all about noses.
Seriously though, keep it clean with peroxide and see a doctor, you probably need penicillin to get the infection out of your system. It could be very dangerous if it goes into your blood stream and festers.
If you or a friend did the piercing, then RUN do not WALK to a doctor.

The same thing happened to me. That bump will always be there. I've had mine out for years, it's stll there, and you can see a faint gray-ish scar on the outside of my nostril. it's horrible. I regret EVER having it pierced. I know its cute and everything but I recommend taking it out ASAP and hopefully eliminating the damage. But you will probably left with scar tissue unless you have surgery..atleast, thats what I was told.

i guess you will have to go back and get more antibiotics until it takes care of itself sooner or later the bump will disapear.maybe you need a stronger antibiotic tell the doc maybe he has some advice.but do go to the doc again because it sounds to me it is infected again try using rubbing alchol when you clean it next time .or bag baum the stuff works great take out any infection can get it at any drug store.

stop playing with it! you shouldn't touch it unless your cleaning it or changing it, & when you are you should wash your hands. I got mine done in october & I've never had a "bump". it could just be a pimple coming in, or the place you got it peirced wasn't professional with clean needles! you may just have sensitive skin, try h2ocean after peircing spray, I never used it for my nose peircing but when I got my belly button I used it the whole time it was healing & it worked amazing :) never was once infected! or try saline!
